The 37th Annual Christmas Posada is Saturday, December 14, 2013
Experience the La Posada Celebration. The procession represents the nine day journey Mary and Joseph made to Bethlehem. The Community Celebration of La Posada begins at the Union Depot at 2:00 with Mexican Folkloric dancing and the procession departs from there at 3:00, moving down Main Street to the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center. Once at the Arts Center enjoy performances by many Pueblo groups!
FREE Performances around Mesa Junction include:
12 to 2 p.m.—Becca Klock, will regale with ukulele, as well as singing jazz, contemporary and original songs.
12 to 2 p.m.—Ed Hill, singer/songwriter and solo guitar act, will treat the crowd to a collection of traditional Christmas carols.
1 to 3 p.m.—Centennial High School Choir, will serve up their annual melodious holiday cheer.
2 to 4 p.m.—Holly and Laura Sommers, of Sisters and Strings, will perform several genres of music ranging from country and folk to blues and rock.
