Pueblo Children’s Chorale Auditions – January 13

The Pueblo Children’s Chorale is hosting Auditions next Tuesday (January 13) for their next Semester!

From their website:

The Children’s Chorale won the 2014 Best of Pueblo “Best After School Program” and has preformed at Disneyland, various parades and events around town! I’ve had several friends involved and they LOVE it!

Also from their website? Audition Information:

The Pueblo Children’s Chorale is a local professional choral organization for children in 2nd through 8th grades. These children are joined together by their love of music and better-than-average voices to create three spectacular performances per season (October, December and May). The Chorale also performs for a variety of local, statewide and national events in conjunction with their three-concert season. The Chorale rehearses once a week on Tuesdays from 4:15-6:00 p.m at the CSU-Pueblo music building.

Each season, we instill a love of music in our members. This is accomplished by teaching them to read, appreciate and perform a variety of songs for diverse audiences. They also learn poise, self-discipline, the value of working in a ‚Äúteam‚ÄĚ environment and gaining knowledge of other cultures. Through this musical education they increase their self-confidence. Furthermore, they achieve a high level of musicianship that they are sure to carry with them as they pursue other music endeavors throughout their lives.

The Chorale holds auditions twice per season (September and January). To become a member please call Executive Director, Christina Anderson at 719-546-2309 to make an appointment for an audition.

S’More Snack Mix!

s'More Snack MixRecently, my kiddo was invited to a Slumber Party (New Years Eve) where she had to bring a snack to share with the group! Being just a few days after Christmas? There was no way I was doing any baking, so I raided my cabinets to see what I could make!

I found a Bag of Marshmallows, a box of Teddy Grahams and some Chocolate Chips and decided to combine them all together! Add in some Coco Puffs cereal? And we had an AWESOME treat! I

I was getting ready to make another Green Chile recipe, but then I realized that I’m still in a bit of a holiday mood and wanted to do something fun and (more importantly) something sweet! And this recipe was a huge hit at the slumber party, and my six year old has requested we make it again already! (Too bad my New Years Diet won’t let me have it until the end of January!)
