Pueblo Chile & Frijole’s Festival is just around the corner September 23-25, 2016. I’m not sure if I’m more excited about the smell of roasted Pueblo Green Chile or all the events! The event features local musicians‚ children activities, crafts, arts‚ cooking competitions and chilies‚ chilies‚ chilies. With an annual attendance hitting 100,000, the festival found itself in the national spotlight a couple of years ago when it was featured on Livability Top 10 Food Festivals and was #2 on the list.

The Annual La Gente Youth Fish Derby is this Saturday, May 7th from 8 am – 2 pm. They offer FREE
fishing clinics, games, and prizes will be awarded. Every year they have a great turn out so make sure to come early. There’s no cost for the event thanks to their awesome sponsor Park West Dental (thanks)! The weather is expected to be in the high 70’s, so there is no excuse not to bring your little one’s for a great day of family fun! No fishing licenses are required.

Five-time Emmy Winning Makeup Artist, Gil Mosko, will be conducting presentations, explaining how makeup is done for a Hollywood Production. His years running the Star Trek Makeup Lab at Paramount Pictures uniquely qualify him as a great source of information and techniques. There will be a basic hands-on session!
Ever watched “Face/Off?” Mr. Mosko worked with “Face/Off” authority, Mike Westmore, every day for over seven years, helping to create the creatures seen on Star Trek—The Next Generation, Star Trek—Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek—Voyager.
