The Pueblo Domestic Violence Community Task Force, Inc. and the YWCA of Pueblo will present their annual Historical Ghost Walk through the Historic Union Avenue and Riverwalk District on October 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th. Walking tours leave every 15 minutes from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. starting at El Pueblo History Museum. This event is a storytelling of Pueblo’s past. In case of inclement weather, the event will move indoors. New stories for this year’s Ghost Walk include The Buddy Johnson Show, Welter-Weight Champion Marty Servo along with Hose House #3 and Pueblo Fires. Family Pottery Painting at First Friday Art Walk
The Fire Playce is a paint-your-own-pottery studio serving the Pueblo area. They offer a nice selection of unpainted bisque ceramics, a variety of under glazes (paints), brushes, idea books, stencils, stamps, a little coaching and a lot of encouragement! They can seat about 40 painters at a time in their location so reservations are encouraged. When you are finished creating your treasure, they will glaze it in a non-toxic food safe glaze, kiln fire it and you can pick it up within a week. This will be a seated (non-walking) performance of the Ghost Walk. The "Sneak Peek" will take place at El Pueblo History Museum.
