Homeschoolers in the Park is a experiential science program, designed for home school students, grades 2nd through 4th grade. Your student will participate in a full day of educational activities, taking place in the Mountain Park, the ideal outdoor classroom

Includes round trip transportation from Pueblo. Meet at the Nature and Raptor Center off of Pueblo Boulevard at 8:30 am, arrives back at the Nature and Raptor Center at 3:00 pm

Have your student join us for some fun around our Pond as they learn about the insects and the newly released Southern Red Bellied Dace (fish) living there! Students will get the opportunity practice being Limnologist as they catch and learn about a variety of insects and conduct water quality tests.
Art through the Ecosystems
The second half of the day will be a guided hike through the three ecosystems at the park.While the student learn about the various aspects that make up our ecosystems, they will have a chance to collect items that will then be used to create three multimedia art pieces (leaf rubbing and leaf pressing).
