I know in the past we’ve talked about Knee High Nature Hour! It’s one of those programs that is so wonderful I’m sad that my little one has outgrown it! The Pueblo Nature Center is one of my favorite hidden gems in Pueblo! This program is just one of the many reasons that I love it!!
The Fall program kicks off next Wednesday (September 24) with “Wiggly Worms” This specific “lesson” was my daughters favorite a few years ago – her picture is below with her worm! She loved getting to experience the worms so up close!! (Me on the other hand? I was glad she was so happy to play with them! That way I didn’t have to touch it!)
Bring a picnic lunch and stay after the lesson to play or take a hike along the Arkansas River! (Or grab a bite at the Coyote Grille! Lunch will also pay for your parking at the Nature center! )
There is so much cool stuff going on at the Nature and Raptor Center! You can adopt a raptor and/or Volunteer – for just 8 volunteer hours a month you can earn a free membership to the center! You can even rent the nature center for a party – what a beautiful place for a wedding!
