The Pueblo Domestic Violence Community Task Force, Inc. and the YWCA of Pueblo will present their annual Historical Ghost Walk through the Historic Union Avenue and Riverwalk District on October 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th. Walking tours leave every 15 minutes from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. starting at El Pueblo History Museum. This event is a storytelling of Pueblo’s past. In case of inclement weather, the event will move indoors.
New stories for this year’s Ghost Walk include The Buddy Johnson Show, Welter-Weight Champion Marty Servo along with Hose House #3 and Pueblo Fires. We will also be bringing back local favorites Ladies of the Night, Muldoon Man, Millie the Apache Midwife, and many more! There will be a total of ten (10) vignettes presented throughout the heart of the district.
The Ghost Walk is a fundraising event for the Pueblo Domestic Violence Community Task Force and the YWCA of Pueblo. Funds raised for the Domestic Violence Task Force will go to help provide training for those who work with victims and for anti-violence education, training and advertising in the community. Funds raised for the YWCA will be used to provide shelter and counseling for women and children experiencing domestic violence related homelessness.
The cost for tickets is $9.00 for the Ghost Walk. Children ages five and younger are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Advance tickets for both events may be purchased at the YWCA, 801 N. Santa Fe Ave., at El Pueblo History Museum, 301 N. Union Avenue and Southeastern Colorado Heritage Center, 201 W. B Street. Please, cash or check only.
