Kid Tennis Lessons for Summer

Beginner & Intermediate Tennis Lessons

Ages 7 and up


 

Beginner

Future Stars is specially designed for children ages 7 and up who have little to no tennis experience. This beginner class offers upper elementary aged players a great place to start or brush up on the basics. Students will improve hand-eye coordination and agility, perform racket handling skills and become familiar with the tennis court. Instruction zeros in on cultivating a love of the game through basic strokes and fun games associated with tennis.People can register online.

Intermediate

Future Stars Advanced Beginner classes are designed for students aged 7-12 who have some experience and can hit a tossed ball consistently. Players are expected to have knowledge of basic strokes and are ready for the next level of play. Emphasis is placed on moving, hitting and some match play.

Pee Wee QuickStart

Ages 4-6

Pee Wee Tennis is specially designed to introduce 4-6 year old children to the game of tennis in a fun and rewarding way. By tailoring the equipment and the size of the playing court, Pee Wee Tennis allows them to learn the sport quickly, have fun and to succeed immediately.

The emphasis is on fun, fitness and skill development.

Pee Wee Tennis helps create a proper foundation on which children may continue to build and develop their interests in the sport.People can register online.

Slow-Pitch Baseball Camp Registration Closes the 24th

Big Hitters Youth Pitching Machine Program is a non-competitive program where players continue to work on basic skills while learning to hit a moving ball. This program is specifically designed to transition young ball players from T-ball to the games of fast pitch softball and baseball.

Teams formed by location.

Ages: 7-8, 9-10

Registration: March 16 – April 24

Fee: $45

Season: June 11 – July 16

6 week season, inclement weather may extend the season.

Legos, Robots, and mazes

Make a maze and pilot a LEGO Mindstorm Robot! Create your own language and learn how the robot will respond to you.

Great for kids, teens, and adults

This “Lego Mindstorm” will occur on Monday, March 16th, 4pm – 5pm, at the Patrick A. Lucero Library. It will be held in the Large Community Room.

Fit 4 Fun Fair

Fit For Fun

The Fit 4 Fun Kid + Teen Health Fair will run from 10 am through 2 pm.. It will be held on Saturday, March 14th, outside Pueblo Mall in thee courtyard in front of J.C. Penney.

 

In this FREE event, kids can try Zumba, a soccer clinic, skateboard demonstrations, activities hosted by the YMCA, and more!
