Pueblo Zoo celebrates Spring Break with half-price admission on
Visitors, including those using strollers or wheelchairs, enjoy an easy stroll through beautifully landscaped grounds that lead to Serengeti Safari, North American Grasslands, the Australian Outback, and an Asian Adventure. There is a tropical rain forest to visit and penguins to watch “flying” underwater. A shipwreck journey around the world is available in the Islands of Life building. Children can meet friendly farm animals in the Pioneer Ranch and watch northern river otters swim and frolic underwater. World of Color houses a variety of reptiles, turtles, tortoises, and birds.

The zoo is open from 9 to 4. Please note, exhibit buildings close 30 minutes before Zoo closing. To ensure that our guests have enough time to enjoy the Zoo, last entry is 1 hour before Zoo closing.

Savannah Spring Camp is intended for students in 1st grade and 2nd grade.
WHEN and WHERE
The Savannah Spring Camp runs Monday- Friday, March 23-27, from 9:00am-3:00pm. Check-in and pick up is at the Zoo Classroom in the Administration Building- you must sign your child in and out of camp
WHY and HOW
First and second graders can learn about our future zoo residents, the African painted dogs and their habitat – the African savannah. Program includes snacks, keepsake photo, zoo walks, animal encounters, keeper talks, daily crafts and activities, t-shirt. (But not lunch! Bring a packed lunch.)
Wear sturdy shoes (no flip flops) and dress for the weather. If you child requires medicine or has special needs, please be sure to indicate this on the registration form.
There’s still time to sign up for the Father’s Day Campout at the Pueblo Zoo! The campout kicks off on June 14 at 5pm, and is $35 for members ($40 for non members!)
There will be two more campouts this summer: Snore ‘N’ Roar – July 19 and Season Celebration – September 27!
Pueblo Kids are officially on Summer Break!! So why not spend your Thursdays at the Pueblo Zoo? Starting tomorrow (June 5) at 10am, the Pueblo Libraries are teaming up with the Zoo for Animal Tales story time!
My kiddo and I attended several times last summer, and it was always a lot of fun!
