Kids have a chance to be real life Cowboys and Cowgirls at the ‘The Way West’ kids cowboy exhibition! From January 10th-May 30th 2015, the Francis King Gallery of Western Art and Buell Children’s Museum’s present “The Way West” kids cowboy exhibition. This exhibition will bring your social studies curriculum to life by letting you live in the west for a day.
There will be a lot of fun activities including Kids being let to Pack their own Conestoga wagon, try Pony Express writings, re-enact western paintings and weave bookmarks. There will also be panning for gold and visits to tipis.
Kids will also get the Under Western Skies Sketch book courtesy of CSU-Pueblo. There’s something for teachers too! Each teacher will get a Western art collection book showing western artwork from the Francis King Collection.
Admission: $8 for adults/$6 for children, military and seniors 65+, Arts Center Members ALWAYS FREE
