Winter Wildflowers Hike

Come hunt for wildflowers on an early afternoon hike.

Exercise while discovering the first signs of Spring! It will be a terrific hike starting at 1pm in the parking lot. This hike is considered appropriate for people ages 12+ because of the length and moderate vigor of the hike. In the case of snow, snowshoes will be available.

HINT: Dress in layers and wear good hiking shoes. Remember to bring plenty of water and maybe a snack!

MPEC's own Flower Field Guide makes a perfect giftYour guide will be the park’s Executive Director, Dave van Manen, the nationally-known children’s musician. He is excellently suited for leading the hike. He has worked in the education field for nearly forty years.  He also wrote a guide to the plants of the park and surrounding area, Plants of Pueblo Mountain Park.

Price: $5 non-member fee, free for members
